Our community & partnerships

Meet the organisations we've partnered with who are making a difference in our communities.

SailGP

“We share a lot of synergies with Alvarium and throughout our discussions we really valued and appreciated their stance on socially and environmentally responsible investing. They’re an industry leader in that space and it’s great to have them on board.”

- Peter Burling, CEO, New Zealand SailGP Team

“We care deeply about building a healthier future and admire how SailGP is using sport as a catalyst to shift attitudes and behaviour around environmental and social issues alike. That is something we are hugely excited to stand alongside.”

- Brett Gamble, NZ Director

Sports and investing both require a terrific team, cooperation, effective communication and a powerful drive to achieve excellence. But it’s not just a similar mindset that made Alvarium want to sponsor the New Zealand SailGP team, it is also our shared passion for protecting the diverse ecosystems of our great oceans through their charity Live Ocean.

'It's worth taking risks to try to find the hardest to reach in society' - HMK King Charles III (when he was The Prince of Wales)

Founded by His Majesty, King Charles III, (when he was HRH The Prince of Wales) nearly 50-years-ago, The King’s Trust has supported more than one-million young people globally to develop confidence and skills to live, earn and help create a better and more sustainable world.

In New Zealand, the Trust focuses on supporting young entrepreneurs aged 18-30 through its Enterprise Programme. The programme builds entrepreneurial foundations, provides mentoring, networking, and financial support from He Kākano - a seed fund for youth-led businesses.

Hundreds of young kiwis have been supported in the past year and now have the skills and backing they need to make a living out of doing what they love, with the aim of creating a more equitable, sustainable and prosperous future. The Trust is the charity partner of Art in the Park providing the opportunity for selected young artists from the Enterprise Programme to showcase work at the event and connect with mentors, networks and financial support.

Andrew Williams, Alvarium Managing Director is the founding Trustee and Chairperson of The Trust in New Zealand. Alvarium provides support for the Trust, and its Enterprise Programme through mentoring, connections and networking opportunities, and hosting alumni events. The Trust’s team is a key part of the Alvarium whānau on the 37th floor.
